As I have said the lack of trenches is a major buzz kill, but also the way units behave, unit size and, the lack of mud or scars of war on the battle map is huge immersion breaker for me. Really good and well researched flavor text was great to read and I look forward to it ever turn.ĭoes it feel like WW1? Not really. The mod its does a great job, good units, agents and above all flavor. The mod is definitely limited by the short comings of the game, but I guess that is the case with all mods. It's still Napoleon, still clunky, AI is still terrible, animations are in slow motion and way too many rebellions. I think the limitations of the game are the real issue here. The lack of actual trenches is a bit of a buzz kill, but I full understand that that was the limitations of the game rather than the mod. Think we missed one? Also by about 1800, the game would get boring as fuck, because most conquests in the 19th century consisted more of politicking to keep people on colonised areas fighting each other or turning up with massive overwhelming force and not having to fight. However before you downvote me into oblivion for saying that a 1800s era total war on a global scale would not work with the TW format there's a more practical take here too. It probably wouldn't get made because it would be a PR disaster and CA is already a company that makes a lot of noise abt being a diverse/inclusive company. #NAPOLEON TOTAL WAR MODS ON MODDB FULL#.
